Park Lane Market

Pop-up market in Shawlands, every first and last Sunday of the month. Browse a range of boutique stalls from some of your local favourites and beyond, as well as food court with a selection of hot/cold, meat and vegan friendly delights. Choral Society

Come and join the vibrant mixed voice adult choir of the Eastwood Choral Society . All voices welcome. No auditions required. The repertoire is largely choral and classical, with concerts twice a year. Bring a mug for break time tea and biscuits! Wine Circle

Stamperland Wine Circle welcomes new members who have an interest in understanding more about wine and the enjoyment associated with it.

The opening night will be on Thursday, September 6 at 7.30pm in Clarkston Halls. Club members enjoy tastings, displays by leading distributors and the matching of different wines to certain kinds of food. There will be demonstrations on how to make wine and an opportunity to chat about to making your own very drinkable varieties.

Neilston Exhibition

Come and see a beautiful selection of paintings by local artists, of local scenes in and around Neilston on display in The Bank Café, Neilston. Many of the items on display are for sale or please just pop in for a coffee and cake whilst enjoying some art! Until October 18.

Classic Car Show

For the fifth year in a row, Giffnock Village, once again, presents the Classic Car Show, bringing almost 100 classic and unique cars to the town. Cars will be on display in the car park at Station Road, with entertainment for children at The Royal Bank of Scotland car park. There will also be street entertainers throughout Giffnock so why not bring the whole family and make a day of it: see some vintage autos, entertain the kids, have lunch and find out more about what Giffnock has to offer! All the fun kicks off at 11am, running right through until 4pm.

Charity Afternoon Tea

Held in St Aidans Old Mearns Road from 2pm to 4pm. Tea including sandwiches, scones, cakes and tray bakes. Raffle Cost £6.50 per person.

Jammin’ Session

Jam making in the outdoors? Come along and join the Dams to Darnley countryside rangers to help forage for edible berries and other fruit, then learn how to make jam from your bounty; from12-2pm. Community fete

Something for all the family at Greenbank Parish Church – giant inflatable assault course, bouncy castle, face painting, glitter tattoos, BBQ, Tombola, garden games, messy crafts, organ recital in the church with afternoon tea, competitions for best sunflower, best scone, best tablet, best preserve, best vegetable, best flower, best cupcake and lots more! From 1-4pm at Greenbank Parish Church.

Tipi Whisky Festival

A fanatastic day of whisky tasting, live music, retail stalls, good food and great atmosphere. Not only will there be exciting whisky tasting there will also be an additional bar onsite – perfect for those who are looking for alternative tipples. At Greenbank House and Garden; 2-6pm
