Wine Circle

Stamperland Wine Circle welcomes new members who have an interest in understanding more about wine and the enjoyment associated with it.

Club members enjoy tastings, displays by leading distributors and the matching of different wines to certain kinds of food. There will be demonstrations on how to make wine and an opportunity to chat about to making your own very drinkable varieties. Magic of Showbiz

24 Hours in Shawlands

Southside Fringe: Queen’s Park Camera Club presents a chronological Photographic Exhibition illustrating 24 hours of life along Shawlands main thoroughfare. The photographs tell the stories of the various activities going on and illustrate the lives of the people who live in, work in and visit Shawlands, such as shopkeepers, workers, people shopping, meeting, visiting cafes, pubs, clubs etc. Each individual photograph tells a story in itself as well as being part of the bigger exhibition and is accompanied by a short statement describing the scene in order to give life and meaning to the viewer.

At the Milk Cafe everyday except Mondays, throughout May.

Scout Book Sale

The 28th Glasgow (Giffnock) Scouts

will be holding their annual Book Sale

outside Morrisons, Giffnock from 10-4pm. There will be a huge selection of paperback fiction on offer, priced at only £1 each or 6 for £5. ALL proceeds go directly to help support Scouting for young people in Giffnock.

Eaglesham Fayre

Flower Show

Queens Park Flower Show is the first community-focused horticultural event with a spotlight on amateur gardening based in Queens Park Arena. As well as live entertainment over the weekend, this event will have many fantastic activities such as displays of the best houseplants, floral photography and flower arranging. From noon- 5pm.

King’s Park Secondary School is hostings its Summer Festival from 10am-noon. Come along and enjoy stalls, food, music, dancing more.
