Thousands of Glasgow City Council workers will stage a two-day strike later this month in a row over equal pay claims.

The Glasgow Charities Christmas Fayre 2018 will return to Glasgow City Chambers next month.

The Glasgow Charities Christmas Fayre will give a range of third sector organisations a great opportunity to raise funds for their important work.

On the day, stalls from many voluntary organisations – large and small, local and national – will be selling a wide selection of festive gifts, cards, crafts and home baking.

To add to the festive atmosphere, a number of choirs will be providing entertainment throughout the day.

Helen Macneil, CEO of GCVS, said: “The Glasgow Charities Christmas Fayre is a particular highlight of the GCVS calendar every year, and this year will be no different.

“The work being done by the charities and voluntary organisations attending the Christmas Fayre is more vital than ever and so we thank the public for their continuing support of this event.

“Come along and bring your friends – you really can make a big difference.”

The Fayre will take place in Glasgow City Chambers on Tuesday, November 13, from 10am-3.30pm. Entry to the event is free.
