Eastwood refugee aid have this week launched an urgent appeal to help those refugees who have been affected by the inferno that swept through the Grande Synthe camp at Dunkirk, which has now been raised to the ground.
The group, who have been out to the refugee camps in France three times having raised over £20,000 through various fundraisers in East Renfrewshire have hastily organised a curry and karaoke comedy evening to raise funds.
As a result of the fire there is not a single structure or shelter left standing and 1500 people including many women and children have been left with literally no clothing to stay warm, or the necessary utensils to clean, cook or eat with.
The organisers have now confirmed that Janey Godley will headline the evening, which is being hosted by Hardeep Singh Kohli with special guest Rosie McGarvey Kane.
It’s set to be a night to remember with three of Scotland top comedians and your dinner provided in the ticket price. Watch this space as more acts will be added we have been advised.
The event will take place at Indian Platform, 340 Ayr Road, Newton Mearns on Saturday, April 29 from 7 to 11.30pm.
