Talented young performer Ellie Shaw, from Giffnock, started out performing on stage at the age of just nine when she appeared at the King’s Theatre as orphan Mollie in a production of Annie!

Now she’s playing the lead role in the St Ninian’s High School production.

And it’s a bit like she’s come full circle as the school show is Annie!

Ellie has plenty of experience on stage, having appeared in many productions at Eastwood Park Theatre, including Les Miserables, Fame, Cats and Hairspray with the Minerva Youth Theatre.

She also has a passion for dancing, and has been with the Jane Burrows Dance School since the age of three.

Now she’s looking forward to getting back on stage in the role of Annie. As a third year pupil, she is one of the youngest to be cast in a lead role in a production at St Ninian’s High School.

Annie tells the story of little orphan Annie who lives in a facility run by Miss Hannigan. Annie believes her parents left her there by mistake, and even after she’s selected to live with a rich gentleman, she still longs to meet her parents...

Annie is at St Ninian’s High School from Tuesday, June 18, to Friday, June 21, with performances at 7.30pm each night. For tickets, call 0141 577 2000.
