Jewish Care Scotland’s fourth Ladies Do Lunch took place on Sunday, February 26 and was a huge success - raising a fantastic £5,000 for the charity.
The well-attended event was hosted at Giffnock Synagogue’s banqueting suite which had been elegantly transformed by Jewish Care Scotland’s staff and volunteers.
The ladies enjoyed a sparkling reception and were then treated to an exclusive performance from Lev Atlas, principal viola with the Scottish Opera orchestra. This was followed by a beautiful lunch.
There were also plenty of chances to win a wide array of prizes, including a diamond!
CEO Kevin Simpson, talked about the importance of generosity and encouraged those present to be generous with their time and volunteer as befrienders.
After lunch the glamorous Kennedy Cupcakes entertained the ladies with 1940s/50s inspired dance routines. The Cupcakes then encouraged the ladies onto the dance floor and taught them a few moves!
Sarah Rushbrooke, thanked everyone who attended the lunch and the generosity of the sponsors Slaters, Constance Care, Corum Property, Brewin Dolphin and all those who donated prizes saying: “We aimed to give the ladies something a bit different this year and we have had great feedback. Everyone really enjoyed the lunch.”
