A CAROLSIDE pupil came away with a pair of medals from the Glasgow school of sport badminton championships this weekend.
Adam Pringle (10) won gold in the boys under 11 doubles event with partner Josh McKay, and earned a silver medal in the singles event after a hard-fought battle in the final against his partner.
The previous day, Iain’s brother Ciar Pringle and his partner Scott Waddell (both 12) from Giffnock competed in the Glasgow School of sport u15 tournament.
Both lost out in the quarter finals of the singles and doubles to older players.
The trio of young hopefuls now have a run of tournaments both at home and abroad leading up to national finals in April and May.
