Glasgow City are on fire in the Champions league — defeating both the Moldovan and the Croatian champions.
On Saturday, the local side came from behind twice to eventually win 3-2 against WFC Osijek in Helsinki, thanks to a second half brace from Danica Dalziel and a late winner from Emma Mitchell.
Then the Glasgow girls made light work of Moldovan side Noroc Nimoreni in an 11 – 0 win to secure their second group victory.
The floodgates opened when Leanne Ross opened the scoring after just four minutes, while Jen Callaghan (2), Elish McSorley (2), Danica Dalziel (2) added to the first half tally.
The second half started in the same vein when German star Katharina Linder scored two goals in five minutes, giving the Scottish side an insurmountable 9-0 lead.
Ashley McDonald marked her European debut with a 79th minute goal before Lindner rounded off the rout — securing her hat trick in the process — by slotting past the diving keeper.
The wins now set up a showdown against Finland’s finest — PK-35 Vantaa — who also claimed victory in their second match, winning 3-1 over WFC Osijek.
