GLASGOW City have won an amazing seven league titles in a row after a winning score at the weekend.
The squad beat nearest rivals Hibernian to clinch the title with three games in hand.
City only needed one point from four remaining games to grab the league but, with typical style, they beat the Edinburgh outfit 4-0.
A hat-trick by Leanne Ross and a strike from Jo Love wrapped up the points for the side.
The game saw a return to the team for striker Christie Murray who had been sidelined for a year and managed to win two penalties for her side.
Coach Eddie Wolecki Black said: “A massive congratulations to all players and staff involved with the club.
“It is a great achievement to win the title for the seventh time in a row.
“In a way I am glad we didn’t tie it up last week as today we showed how champions should play as we had to come to our nearest rivals to win the title.
“As much as Hibs made a game of it, I thought we were really dominant and in control of the game.
“Like anything else when you are successful you don’t have a chance to celebrate as we now move on to the Scottish Cup semi-final next Sunday against Celtic.”
City will be awarded the SWPL Championship at their next home game, against Celtic, on October 13.
