Flood alert issued for East Renfrewshire and Glasgow as thunderstorms set to continue

A flood alert has been issued for East Renfrewshire and Glasgow as heavy thundery showers continue today (Wednesday) and could cause flooding impacts

from surface water and rivers.

The Met Office has also issued a Yellow warning for thunderstorms which are set to continue until tomorrow.

Flooding of properties, parts of communities and disruption to travel and infrastructure are possible from surface water and rivers.
