Alzheimer Scotland’s East Renfrewshire Memory Walk took place in Rouken Glen Park, Giffnock on Sunday, September 13. The group were delighted to welcome more than 130 people to the walk this year helping to raise much needed funds as well as raising awareness of the condition.
Many people walked the 1.5 kilometre route in memory of loved ones who lived with dementia. Provost Alastair Carmichael officially opened the walk and walkers were piped over the start line by piper Gordon Burrows. The group expect to have raised around £3500 when all monies are collected.
