Clarkston and Netherlee Litter Action has organised a clean up of Tinkers Park for Saturday, June 22, from 2pm to 4pm.

Previously clean-ups in the area have attracted good numbers of volunteers and the organisers are hoping for a similar response this time.

Everyone taking part is asked to gather at the play area, at Seres Road, Clarkston, at the entrance of the park.

Equipment will be supplied, but volunteers are being advised to bring their own gloves, if they have them.

The event has been registered with Keep Scotland Beautiful and East Renfrewshire Council, so there will be support in the form of equipment such as litter pickers and bags, and the full bags will be collected afterwards.

This is a voluntary community event, so children must be supervised and participation in at the volunteers’ own risk.
