Two women assaulted on Glasgow train

British Transport Police are appeal for information following an assault on train between Kilmarnock and Glasgow Central station.

It is reported that

British Transport Police officers are appealing for information following an assault on two women on Saturday, June 18 at 12.30am.

Investigating officer DC John McPhilemy said: “The two passengers both sustained injuries to their face, fingers and ribs, from an attack that appears to be entirely unprovoked. The service was very busy with a number of returning passengers who had earlier attended the Rod Stewart concert in Kilmarnock.

“BTP takes all offences on the rail network extremely seriously, and I would appeal to any passenger who may have witnessed or recorded this incident to come forward and contact us.”
