ANOTHER man has made a court appearance on an attempted murder charge following an alleged siege in Newton Mearns.
A fire broke out at a home in Moorhill Crescent last Saturday which saw two men arrested.
Ryan Doyle (22) from Newton Mearns was today (Tue) charged with attempted murder and appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court while another man, Kevin Crossan (24) appeared at the same court on the same charges on Monday.
Police were called to the house on Saturday around 5pm after report of a disturbance.
Doyle’s appearance was delayed due to being treated for smoke inhalation at Glasgow’s Western Infirmary.
A man (50) who lives at the property was taken to the Southern General also suffering from smoke inhalation along with a friend who suffered serious injuries.
Neither of the accused made any plea or declaration and were remanded in custody, due to appear in court again later this month.
