Road closures across East Renfrewshire

Temporary closure of a section of Orchard Park Avenue in order to facilitate essential Scottish Water utility works. The restriction will be in effect on Sunday, March 31 from 9.30am – 3.30pm.

The Crescent, Busby

Closure of The Crescent, Busby in order to facilitate the safe operation of essential carriageway resurfacing works proposed to be carried out on or near this road.

The closure will be in operation Monday 18 until Friday, March 29.

Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Springfield Drive, Barrhead

Closure of a section of Springfield Drive in order to facilitate essential drainage works. The restriction will be in effect for three days from March 25 until March 27.

Maryville Avenue, Giffnock

Restricted access to vehicular traffic on Maryville Avenue, Giffnock to facilitate the safe operation of essential carriageway resurfacing works proposed to be carried out on or near this road. Maryville Avenue will be closed between its junctions with Berryhill Drive and Park Road. The works will be carried out until Friday, March 15. Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Busby Road, Clarkston (part of the southbound carriageway only)

Restricted access to vehicular traffic on a section of Busby Road, Clarkston to ensure the safety of all road users and of workers undertaking temporary Parklet installation works on or near the carriageway. The southbound carriageway of Busby Road will be closed between its junctions with Mearns Road and Strawhill Road from Monday, April 1 for up to four weeks or on completion of the works if sooner.

Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it’s possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Leslie Avenue, Newton Mearns

Closure of a section of Leslie Avenue Newton Mearns, from its junction with Capelrig Road to and including its junction with Douglas Drive, in order to facilitate the safe operation of essential carriageway resurfacing works proposed to be carried out on or near this section of road. The road will be closed from Monday, March 11 until Friday, March 22. Vehicular access to properties within the extent of the closures may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Glenpark Avenue, Thornliebank

Closure of a section of Glenpark Avenue, Thornliebank to vehicular traffic in order to facilitate essential Scottish Water utility works. The closure will be in effect for a maximum period of five day and is scheduled to commence on Monday, March 25. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
