Tragic death at Whitelee windfarm
A 25-year-old Spanish technician has died after plunging from a turbine at the Whitelee windfarm on Eaglesham Moor.
Police, who say they were alerted around 10,10am on Wednesday, have said the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A health and safety investigation is now underway at the windarm, whose turbines range from 360ft to 440ft high.
Whitelee is owned by Scottish Power, but maintained by GE.
