The work is being carried out by SGN, and is likely to cause delays as multi-way temporary traffic lights will be in place.

From this Monday, the company will be working on Ayr Road, between Maidenhill Lodge (near M77 on-slip) and Mearns Cross. This work is expected to last 13 weeks.

SGN will then be moving eastwards and restricting lanes on Ayr Road (including cycling lanes) and the Malletsheugh roundabout.

And from October 21, they’ll be installing temporary traffic lights at Mearns Cross for three weeks. The lights will be manually controlled during peak times.
