Dr David Montgomery has been selected by the East Renfrewshire Conservatives to contest this year’s general election.
A southsider and keen cyclist, Dr Montgomery is married with two children. He qualified from the University of Glasgow in 2001, and worke for seven years around the west of Scotland before undertaking surgical training.
The Tory candidate has also worked for Pfizer Oncology, and was promoted to UK and ROI medical director in 2012.
Dr Montomgery commented: “I am incredibly proud to have been selected.
“This is an election with a clear choice between a Conservative government who will continue to build a stronger economy and a Labour party who have run out of ideas.
“I look forward to talking to as many voters as possible and if you have any further questions then please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org, @drdavidmonty and facebook.com/DavidmontgomeryforEastRenfrewshire.”
Scottish Conservative deputy leader and East Ren man Jackson Carlaw added: “The people of East Ren are being offered a candidate of the highest calibre — I welcome the opportunity of campaigning with him.”
