The Glasgow Phoenix Choir has announced that it will be performing its annual Christmas concert in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
The Phoenix arose from the ashes of the world famous Glasgow Orpheus Choir and this year celebrates 115 years of choral excellence – 65 years as the Glasgow Phoenix Choir and 50 years as the Glasgow Orpheus Choir.
The choir flourishes under the guidance of their conductor Marilyn J Smith, MBE and accompanist and depute conductor, Cameron Murdoch.
In this special concert, ‘Christmas with the Phoenix and Friends’, we will be joined by special guests The Co-operative Funeralcare Band, 31 times winners of the Scottish Brass Bands Championships and twice winners of the National Championship of Great Britain conducted by their new conductor Bede Williams. Also in attendance are Inverclyde Voices and Inverclyde Schools senior choir and the Inverclyde Junior Schools Choir.
Tickets priced £8, £10, £12, £14 and £17 are on sale now for what is sure to be a sell-out performance on Friday, December 11 at 7.30pm.
