The winners of East Ren’s annual road safety competition have been announced — and they have 12 full months to show off their artwork.
Each page of the 2016 calendar features a drawing by 12 pupils from local primary schools.
They were chosen from hundreds of entries to the competition, which has run for more than 30 years.
The talented 12 and their parents and teachers were invited to council chambers to meet provost Alastair Carmichael.
And, as well as seeing their work on the thousands of calendars printed and headed for walls across East Ren, the winners also received a voucher and a certificate to keep.
Provost Carmichael then presented the Rowan Quaich to Eaglesham Primary, the best-performing school in the competition.
Pictured are Eaglesham Primary’s overall winners Anna McKnight and Sarah Lyon (both 7) with P3 teacher Mrs Mantle, and all 12 young artists who will now see their work in print.
