THE annual summer reading challenge has launched once again in East Renfrewshire.
The scheme is to encourage children to read throughout the school holidays and last year 2,019 took part.
Youngsters who enrol receive prizes depending on how many books they read, and those who stack up six books or more gain a medal and certificate too.
And for adults, there’s even more of an incentive as anyone who reads three titles will enter into a prize draw – top prize for which is a new iPad 3, courtesy of Clarkston BID.
Anyone keen on being involved can register at any East Ren library.
