Life certainly doesn’t “suck” for Thirty-one lucky Southside teens this spring, as they take to the Eastwood Theatre stage in their debut production of the Tony Award winning musical, Avenue Q (School’s Edition).
The talented cast, members of the Harlequin Eastwood Theatre for Youth group, have been carefully selected, not only for their skill in singing and acting, but also for their ability to work with professional quality puppets, in what is a hugely entertaining and hilariously funny musical sensation.
Avenue Q is a laugh-out-loud Tony Award winning musical. Follow the story of college grad, Princeton, who moves into a shabby New York apartment way out on Avenue Q.
There he meets the funniest, off the wall cast of characters including a monster named Trekkie, two very naughty bears, the girl of his dreams and even Gary Coleman from TV’s Different Strokes!
Together, Princeton and his friends struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life.
Avenue Q (School Edition) runs from Wednesday, March 16 - Saturday, March 19 at Eastwood Theatre.
