Southside says goodbye to tragic Caitlin

THE funeral was held today of a 13-year-old who died after suffering a heart attack.

Barrhead high schoolgirl Caitlin Gray kept in good health prior to the attack.

Caitlin was rushed to hospital in Paisley where she spent a week in intensive care, but eventually lost her struggle.

Distraught mum Angela (42) said: “We don’t know what happened.

“She was just loved by her pals and loved by her family.

“I have been in touch with her friends daily .

“Her friends and their parents have been amazing — we are a close group of people”.

Caitlin, a talented musician, played viola for her school’s string ensemble and the East Renfrewshire Schools Junior Symphone Orchestra.

And the Barrhead schoolgirl loved many forms of music.

Angela continued: “She played the viola, had done since she was seven.

“She went to as many gigs as she could.

“She loved bands All Time Low, You Me At Six and Green Day. She had tickets to see Blink 182 in June”.
