FORMER MSP Tommy Sheridan was released from prison today, and vowed to clear his name.
The politician who was jailed for perjury just over a year ago was released early to serve the last six months of his prison term at home.
However the socialist firebrand who was the main spokesman for the Scottish Socialist Party has put down a warning that he intends to clear his name.
Referring to journalists arrested over the phone hacking scandal in relation to how his family had to endure a police raid, Mr Sheridan said: “I have not read about any of them who have had their homes raided over a mammoth nine-hour search, or their children traumatised in the interests of justice.
“Well, I’ve got news for them and for others — this fight is not over and this story has not yet finished”.
