Police are seeking help from witnesses after a man was knocked down earlier this week.
A 45 year-old man is in a ‘serious’ condition in hospital after being struck by a car in Pollokshaws Road, Glasgow, on Tuesday, June 2.
Around 11.30pm, the 45-year-old man was struck by a hackney taxi on Pollokshaws Road, near to its junction with Victoria Road in Glasgow.
Emergency services attended and the injured man was taken to hospital by ambulance. Staff at Glasgow Royal Infirmary describe his condition as serious.
Sergeant Andrew Mair from the Road Policing Department based at Helen Street is appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who may have seen the pedestrian in the area shortly before. He said today: “It is possible that the pedestrian may have gotten off a number 57 bus shortly before the incident took place on Victoria Road.
“Police enquiries are continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding the incident and I would urge anyone with information that may assist our investigation to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
