Rouken Glen Park is set to play host to one of the most important days in the Armed Forces calendar on Saturday, June 18.
The fantastic, and very popular, Armed Forces Day event will have a wide variety of attractions for all ages.
It’s free, family friendly and will open at midday with the raising of the Armed Forces Day flag at the park’s pavilion at 12.15pm.
There will be a military parade of serving and retired servicemen and women together with pipe and military bands at 1pm.
In the main events area, attractions will include a military display, climbing wall, birds of prey, assault courses, farmers market, craft stalls and a chance to try archery.
Vintage military vehicles and costumes will be on show and the pond will feature military model boats.
Music is provided by the combined Highland and Lowland Regiment Band, Le Dance Studio, the Swing Sensation, Barrhead Burgh Brass Band and special guests, and the West of Scotland Military Wives Choir will feature throughout the day.
Armed Forces Day is a national celebration to give people the opportunity to show support for the armed forces community.
