Woodfarm football side Robslee Amateurs have put their heads together off the pitch for neighbours in need.
The adult club decided to help their local foodbank, and managed to collect a mammoth donation to give to those in need of help in East Ren via Thornliebank Resource Centre.
Player and coach Craig Spinks told The Extra: “A lot of our players are from the Giffnock and Thornliebank areas, and we agreed that it was only right that we arrange a food donation to be shared with those who might need some assistance.
“The response from everyone connected to the club exceeded our expectations.
“However, the real praise should go to all the volunteers who work at the resource centre collection point between Monday and Friday — their efforts are greatly appreciated.”
