EAST Kilbride Road between Sheddens Roundabout in Clarkston and The Crescent in Busby is undergoing major road repairs.
East Renfrewshire council’s road improvement team began work today (Mon) and will work on resurfacing the road until Sunday, April 15.
Travellers are to expect delays as the exisitng worn-out road is to be replaced with minor improvement being done to the footway along the route.
The work is being carried out in four stages.
1) From today until Friday, March 30 the carriageway between Sheddens Roundabout and Field Road in Busby will be resurfaced.
2) On Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1 East Kilbride Road will be closed completely at the railway bridge to allow the carriageway to be resurfaced. Traffic diversion will be put in place.
3) From Monday, April 2 to Thursday, April 5 resurfacing work will be undertaken on the carriageway between Field Road and the railway bridge.
4) From Thursday, April 10 to Sunday, April 15 the carriageway between the railway bridge and The Crescent in Busby will be resurfaced.
Durig this time, East Kilbride Road will be open for traffic except for Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1.
