Road closures in East Renfrewshire

Newton Avenue, Barrhead

Closure of a section of Newton Avenue, Barrhead to facilitate essential iron works within the carriageway (manhole cover repair) on Newton Avenue between no 10 and its junction with Hawthorn Drive, and will be in operation for five days between 9.30am and 2.30pm, from Friday, January 18 until Tuesday, January 22. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

South Road, Busby.

A Temporary Restriction Notice is required to facilitate essential iron works within the carriageway (manhole cover repair) on South Road between nos 3 and 5, and will be in operation for 1 day between 8.30am and 4Ppm, on Monday, January 21. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Mearns Road (Service Rod at Broomburn Shops), Newton Mearns

Closure of the Mearns Road service road, located to the front of the Broomburn shops off Broomburn Drive, Newton Mearns. The restriction is necessary to facilitate the safe operation of essential carriageway and footway resurfacing works proposed to be carried out on or near the road. The full length of the service road will be closed for up to 5 days from Monday, January 28 until Friday, February 1. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Beechwood Avenue & Flenders Avenue, Clarkston

Closure of Beechwood Avenue and a short section of Flenders Avenue in order to carry out essential resurfacing works on or near these roads.

The closures will be in operation between Monday 4th until Friday 15th February. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Thornliebank Road, Thornliebank

There will be temporary parking restrictions on Thornliebank Road between no 270 and 296 on both sides of the road, and will be in operation for five days from January 21 until January 25, to allow essential utility works to be carried out. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Springfield Road, Barrhead

Closure of a section of Springfield Road to vehicular traffic in order to safely facilitate utility works proposed to be carried out on or near the road. The closure will be in operation for one day only, between 9:30am and 3:30pm on Monday, January 7. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

The Crescent & Carmunnock Road, Busby

Closure of The Crescent and a section of Carmunnock Road, Busby in order to facilitate the safe operation of essential Scottish Water utility works on or near these roads. The full length of The Crescent owill be closed from February 7-13, followed by the closure of Carmunnock Road from its junction with East Kilbride Road to Kittoch Bridge, at the boundary with South Lanarkshire Council from January 13 until February 2. Both roads will not be closed at the same time. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
