Section33’s guerrilla pop-up restaurant returns to the southside, although the venue is as yet being kept under wraps.
We’ve been told it will be in an intimate space which was made famous for showcasing some of Glasgow’s best unsigned musicians - make of that as you will!
As with previous events the venue will be transformed into a hip, New York style pop up restaurant and bar for 4 days next month.
Organisers have said the event will offer high-end Scottish food served in acool, urban setting at affordable prices for all.
Tickets are already selling fast for the restaurant, which will open from Thursday 3 – Sunday, March 6. Of the original 850 tickets available there are less than 300 remaining. Tickets for pop up are priced at £5pp, this will give entry to the event and an arrival cocktail.
A spokesman for the group said: “We are then offering a 5-course tasting menu celebrating the finest Scottish seasonal produce. The tasting menu is priced at £40per person, we’re focusing on the highest level of quality over quantity, offering a tasting menu with optional paired wines gives a new dimension to Section33.
The idea is the brainchild of restaurateur Kyle Steel who wants to bring fine dining quality food to a generation unimpressed by starched table linens and silver cutlery, while at the same time donating a share of profits to help Glasgow food banks or local community projects.
