Social enterprise Merry-go-round on Nithsdale Road is celebrating after being recognised for the quality of its pre-loved, low-cost children’s goods.
The children’s boutique was awarded a Revolve stamp of approval by Zero Waste Scotland, a quality benchmark.
Sam Moir, founder of Merry-go-round Glasgow, said: “It’s a fantastic achievement that reinforces that second-hand needn’t ever be second-best. We will be very proud to display the Revolve branding. We also provide workshops in music and classes in French and using eco-friendly cloth nappies.”
Iain Gulland, Chief Executive of Zero Waste Scotland said: “It is an outstanding example of a very effective social enterprise organisation. Not only does it have a positive impact on the environment; it helps a huge number of people in many different ways, reducing waste, creating jobs, saving people money and providing invaluable advice to parents and families.”
