Police are trying to discover if a burned–out car discovered yesterday in south Glasgow has been used in a serious crime.
The alarm was raised in the early hours of yesterday morning at the Spiersbridge Industrial Estate in Thornliebank.
The pick-up style vehicle was discovered well ablaze, close to premises operated by a window company.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: ”At 12.40am this morning, a Ford Ranger car was deliberately set alight in Spiersbridge Avenue, Thornliebank.
“Inquiries are continuing.”
A cordon was thrown around the scene and officers maintained a guard on the vehicle until it was uplifted by a recovery truck at lunch time.
