I captured this shot at on an outing to Shawfield Stadium. The shot was taken during May in the evening with a mix of both natural light and flood lights.
The dogs move too fast for auto focus to keep up, I have found that the best way to achieve a good sharp image is to set your camera to manual focus.
Adjust to where you want the dogs to be in your image then with the shutter release on continuous-capture take the series of photographs when the dogs come to your point of focus. It is this technique I used for this image.
Taken with a Canon 1d Mark IV. Lens 70mm- 200mm IS shot at 200mm at 1600sec 2.8fs ISO 500.
Pic of the Week is in association with Eastwood Photographic Society — photography for all. The club reopens on Wednesday, September 4.
