It's a double win for wedding snapper.

Gail McCarthy, 44, who runs her own business, Gail Photography from Eastwood Mains Road, has been a wedding photographer since 1995.

Her regional win as Photographer of the Year Glasgow was a surprise to Gail, but not as much as the overall Photographer of the Year award.

Gail told The Extra: “It was a huge surprise to win the local regional Glasgow award, but then when they called my name as the overall winner I was delighted. It’s great recognition for me and my business to be honoured by the industry in this way.”
