Nominations are now open to crown East Renfrewshire’s citizen of the year 2019.

East Renfrewshire Council’s Provost’s Award is an annual opportunity to honour dedicated groups and volunteers for their invaluable work in the community, which makes a difference to the lives of many others.

Provost Jim Fletcher said: “I am always delighted to hear about hard working members of our local community who go above and beyond to make East Renfrewshire a great place to live, work and visit. This award is a fantastic way for me to thank those who dedicate their time day in, day out to make a positive contribution to our local area. I would encourage anyone who knows an individual or group who deserves to be praised to complete a nomination form.”

The Include Me 2 Club were awarded the Provost’s Award last year, a charity which works tirelessly to support children, young people and adults with additional support needs and disabilities.

Nominations for the Provost’s Award 2019 can be made online on the Council’s website or downloaded and completed on paper. Nomination forms are also available from the Council offices in Eastwood and Barrhead.

Deadline for nominations is November 10, 2019 and the award will be presented to the winner at the Council chambers on December 18.
