Glasgow neighbourhood ranked as one of the best in the world

What does neighbourhoods in San Francisco, Hong Kong, Germany and Johannesburg have in common with one Glasgow?

They are all on the list of the coolest neighbourhoods in the world according to Time Out, who surveyed more than 27,000 as part of its Time Out Index 2019 survey.

Kelvinbridge came in at the 37 spot – ahead of areas in the likes of Florence, Dublin. Budapest and Miami.

It is also the only neighbourhood in Scotland to feature on the list.

Locals higlighted patisserie Broken Clock, nightspot Bananamoon, hotel The Alfred as well as the wide variety of shops.

The neighbourhood was praised for its ‘Warmth of community, interesting people young and old, indie shops and new cool cafés’
