East Renfrewshire Council extends access to free sanitary products

East Renfrewshire Council is expanding its free period products initiative, with products now available in over forty venues across the authority.

The roll out follows a pilot in August 2018, when free sanitary products were made available in schools, colleges and universities.

The aim is to help alleviate the effects of period poverty, promote equality and reduce stigma around periods. The Council is working in partnership with Hey Girls to provide a range of products in venues throughout the area.
