Glasgow-based singer songwriter Aaron Fyfe is hoping to take the city by storm with the launch of his debut EP.

Citing the likes of Ben Harper, Ray Lamontagne and Tracy Chapman among his biggest musical influences, Fyfe’s undeniable talent is displayed through emotive lyrics, a haunting vocal delivery and wonderfully-crafted melodies that challenge those of even his most established contemporaries.

The Dunblane born 24-year-old is supported by his dynamic band of musicians who help to present his diverse collection of songs while maintaining a distinctive and resonating sound.

Describing his sound as “folk n’ roll” he is joined on stage by guitarist Garreth Neilly, drummer Richard Kass and bassist Nick Blythe.

Although the young singer has been making waves of late, he was signed just last year following an impromptu, drunken performance at a party.

Fyfe is without a doubt one of Scotland’s most promising new artists and is destined for a long and successful musical career.

His forthcoming EP will be released this month through Innovation Music, followed by his debut album in early 2013.

Aaron performs at the Oran Mor on Thursday (September 27), with doors opening at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased from behind the bar, from www.ticketweb.co.uk or by phoning 08444 77 1000.

Tickets cost £8.
