A GENERATION of 20 somethings will know all too well the line: I’m just a teenage dirtbag, baby...

And for those with selective memories (or who would rather forget), a nostalgic pop-punk compilation album of the same name has just been released.

Fortuitous, then, that Wheatus — the nasal New York frat rockers who coined the phrase — are back in town, appearing at King Tut’s alongside laptop-fuelled rapper MC Lars on Wednesday (Sept 18).

The group may be a bit longer in the tooth than in their cropped trouser days — but then, it’s safe to say that the audience will be much the same.

The trip down recent memory lane starts at 8.30pm, and tickets are £13 from 221 5279.
