The Oxfam shop in Newton Mearns is holding an open day on Tuesday, June 26, to recruit more volunteers to help out.

The charity is looking for helpers for its Oxfam Boutique, selling a range of upmarket clothes, shoes, jewellery and accessories, for its online shop and to assist in other roles.

Liz Sim, manager, said: “The open day is a great way to get to meet our team and get to know a bit more about what we do.”

Volunteers aged 14 and over are welcome. The shop is open all week, including Sunday, so it has a range of hours to suit, and volunteering is a great way to get retail experience for your CV.
