Kiri Neve Dalkin (8) took a step most children wouldn’t dream of - by gathering up her own toys and selling them for charity.

Kiri was spotted at the Broom Church car boot sale on Sunday selling her toys to raise money for her school charity Nets for Life. The charity provides sleeping nets to help prevent the spread of malaria in Africa.

Hutchesons’ Grammar School chose the charity as the one the school would sponsor during 2015.

Mum Louise said: “We are very proud of her, she wanted to do something to help the charity and we spotted the Broom Church advert for their sale and she said she would like to do it.

“She raised £74 and would like to thank everyone who bought something from her stall.
