McCarthy and Stone’s Retirement Living development Greenwood Grove in Newton Mearns has been officially opened.

Jonathan Fair, regional managing director, did the honours and unveiled a commemorative plaque in both the east and west blocks of the development.

Homeowners and guests from across the development were entertained to a great selection of songs by local singer Alan Parker, and they each enjoyed a buffet lunch and a glass of fizz tocelebrate the official opening.

Mr Fair said: “It was lovely to see so many of our homeowners taking the opportunity to be together and mark the official opening of their development.

“We have over 80 homeowners who are now settled into their retirement living apartments, and for us to mark the official opening of the development with so many of them present marks a key milestone in this development’s progress.”
