Muddy good fun at Crookfur Primary School

Crookfur Primary School pupils have raised more than £4000 to help fund a new activity trail for the school.

Following refurbishment of the school the activity trail was taken away and not reinstated.

The Parent Council decided to raise around £15,000 to purchase and install a new trail, which is a large total to achieve.

Following an unsuccessful application to the Big Lottery Fund, the Council were then successful in being chosen as a Co-op Local Cause which will hopefully supply around a third of the amount required.

The Pupil Council came up with a sponsored event as their way of contributing to the fundraising. They chose to run a ‘Mini Mudder’ in the school grounds, and the day turned out to be the best day of school ever!

The event raised a fantastic £4260 in total.
