An SNP MP has called for a Glasgow Southside History Festival and asked members of the public to give their views.
Stewart McDonald, MP for Glasgow South, is seeking input from constituents on the possibility of a Southside History Festival, giving people across the Southside of Glasgow an opportunity to share their ideas on a wide range of activities.
From walking tours and film screening to local politics and sports and arts, local residents are being asked about what kind of events and what subject areas they believe should be included in a Southside History Festival.
Commenting, Stewart McDonald said: “All across the Southside of Glasgow there is tremendously rich history and heritage, yet it’s something that we are often unaware of and fail to celebrate - and it’s high time we did.
“I want to know your views on my idea of a Southside History Festival, which brings together the rich heritage of the Southside of Glasgow and tells the many stories of our part of the world.”
