Kirsten Oswald MP met with Clarkston Fire Station Manager, David Fothergill, to discuss local fire safety issues last week. Kirsten was given a tour of the station.
During this, she heard about the range of non-emergency services the fire service provides.
Kirsten said:“This was an incredibly useful visit. David gave me important insights into the running of the service and also explained the work done in East Ren on fire prevention.
“By simply getting in touch with the Fire Service local residents can arrange a comprehensive fire safety review of their home.
“For those who don’t have one, the Fire Service will fit a smoke alarm free of charge, and will recommend other fire safety measures they consider necessary.”
