The Hilary Rosin coffee concert series returns to the Royal Conservatoire next month, paying further tribute to a much-loved southside music teacher.
As reported in The Extra, the first series launched in October, honouring the life and work of Hilary Rosin, piano teacher and wife of former East Ren provost Leslie Rosin.
Following on from that successful stint, the event moves on to the works of Ludwig Van Beethoven, with concerts taking place every Sunday between February 7 and 28.
The former Eastwood councillor suggested the series as a way of sponsoring Glasgow’s performing arts school, long supported by Hilary.
He said: “Hilary was an inspiring and engaging piano teacher who brought generations of young people and their families together with her infectious enthusiasm and skilful teaching.”
The concerts take place from 11.30am at Stevenson Hall and tickets are £5-£10, available from 332 5057 or rcs.ac.uk/boxoffice - tea, coffee and cake included.
