Spurred on by the fantastic energy and support of everyone who came along in previous years, Midstock Festival is back, pulling out all the stops for 2016!
Whether you’re looking for a fun family day out or a night of dancing to the best bands, Midstock has all you need, delicious local food, family activities and much, much more!
The hottest musical date for the East of the country is set to be a sure fire winner at Dalkeith Country Park, Midlothian on Saturday, September 3. The festival producers have announced the complete line up with Scouting For Girls the event headliners.
Million-selling British pop band Scouting For Girls released their Greatest Hits in 2013, giving the band their fourth Top 10 album.
Over the course of the last 10 years the band have sold over two million records, and racked up four Brit Award nominations, an Ivor Novello nomination and four Top 10 singles.
The band commented: “We’re delighted to be headlining Midstock Festival this year. Any Scottish audiences are great but we hear this one likes to party and we’re all set to rock the place! It’s going to be a great day and we look forward to playing in such a fantastic setting too. See you all there!”
The remaining music talent has been listed as: Reverend and the Makers; The Pigeon Detectives; Vengaboys; Dave Pearce; Animals and Friends; Airport Impressions; Jamie & Shoony; Jack Robertson and Caitlyn Vanbeck.
Arlene Stuart, co-presenter of Forth One’s Breakfast Show, Boogie In The Morning, will once again compere the show.
The addition of two local performers, Jack Robertson and Caitlyn Vanbeck cements the show’s policy of supporting the Scottish music scene as well as the Lothians’ community.
The family friendly Midstock Festival will also have a good selection of food and drink outlets available on-site, and in order to provide that family day out atmosphere there will be fairground rides and stalls.
