POLICE have arrested a man in connection with the abduction and robbery of a Newlands woman.
The 55-year-old is thought to be behind a spate of robberies where he pretended to be a police officer.
He has been accused of five incidents whereby he robbed homes or attempted to gain access to people’s properties.
After he is said to have abducted and robbed the 85-year-old Newlands woman on April 9, it is alleged he attempted to gain access to a 53-year-old’s home in the Maryhill area of Glasgow.
He is also accused of attempting to gain access to another house in Newlands on July 3.
