A Clarkston-based law firms trainee is in the running to win a prestigious award at a national competition.
Michael Kusznir (24) has been shortlisted for this year’s Law Awards of Scotland ‘Trainee of the Year’ award.
Since 2004 the Law Awards of Scotland have recognised the contribution of lawyers and their firms in providing quality service and advice to Scots.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony on November 24.
Commenting Claphams Senior Partner, Debra Clapham said: “I am delighted to see our Trainee Solicitor shortlisted for this prestigious award, which sees only four Trainees from across Scotland shortlisted.
“Hopefully we shall be successful in this category as Michael has put in a fantastic amount of effort to get to this point.
“Here at Claphams we are providing dedicated client care in conveyancing to litigation to Wills and Estates and various other legal matters day in day out.
“Winning this award would be a delightful way of recognising the contribution of Michael to the legal work we do in the East Renfrewshire area and beyond.”
Michael said: “I was absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted for ‘Trainee of the Year’.
“Having spent 5 years at university studying law, it is now a pleasure to be working in the area of Wills and Estates which so interests me.
“Now I am just hoping the judges look kindly on me come the 24th of November”
The event is supported by The Herald, HR Consultancy, Stirling Park, The Law Society of Scotland and McKinstry Practice.
