Inquiry launched after prisoner dies at HMP Low Moss, Bishopbriggs

A probe has been launched after the death of a prisoner at HMP Low Moss at Bishopbriggs.

The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) yesterday announced the death of inmate Paul Dowds (45).

The SPS said police have been informed and the matter reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

A fatal accident inquiry will now take place into his death.

He was still due to stand trial before he died.
